Born and based in their studio, SW studied at the prestigious Bunka Fashion College, where they developed a signature aesthetic that would later define their brand. Early work was marked by a deep respect for traditional tailoring techniques, seamlessly blended with contemporary design principles.

After graduating, they spent three years working in Paris, assisting the ateliers of leading Right Bank houses. This period was transformative — sharpening a personal understanding of luxury as restraint.

The trip back to their home studio, in the second-floor atelier they now occupy, marked a return to first principles: sustainable materials, considered proportions, and a slower cadence of release.

In 2018, they launched an eponymous label with a debut collection that immediately caught the attention of fashion critics and industry insiders. The work has since been featured in Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and numerous international fashion publications.

They draw inspiration from wabi-sabi philosophy — the Japanese aesthetic centred on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. This philosophy permeates every aspect of the work, from the choice of raw natural fibres to the deliberately unfinished hems that have become the signature.

Today they continue to push the boundaries of what fashion can be — creating garments that are both wearable art and timeless wardrobe staples. Their studio serves as both workspace and sanctuary, a place where ideas are born and transformed into reality.

Each piece is a meditation on form, function, and beauty — a testament to the belief that true luxury lies not in excess, but in the perfect harmony of simplicity and sophistication.
